One mug, more than one viewing angle
A mug turns in your hand, so the whole design is rarely visible at once. Choose one main picture for a clear focal point, two separate panels for different sides, or a repeating pattern that works as the mug rotates. A pet portrait on one side and a short name on the other gives each element space without shrinking everything into a crowded collage.
The handle changes how a design is seen. Decide whether the most important image should face the drinker or someone across the table, then check that orientation in the selected preview. Wraparound printing describes the mug body; it does not mean the handle or interior can carry your artwork.
Check the preview again after you add a name or date. Lettering that looks balanced on a flat rectangle can sit too close to the handle once the wrap is applied. If you are ordering several mugs with the same photograph, keep one master file and change only the name panel so spelling stays consistent.
Keep an original copy of the photograph instead of a screenshot from a messaging app. Those copies are often already compressed, and the softness shows on the curved ceramic even when a phone preview looks acceptable. If the mug is a gift, check spelling in the exported file as well as the working document, and confirm the handle orientation matches how the recipient is likely to hold it. Preparing your photo mug artwork
The supplied artwork dimensions for this mug are 2,620 × 1,060 pixels. Start with an original photo and place it within that wide composition rather than stretching it to fit. Keep faces and lettering inside the template’s safe area, and extend the background to the required boundary if you want continuous coverage.
Use short wording with a clear contrast against its background. A date or name can become difficult to read when placed over busy scenery or detailed fur. Reopen the exported file to check spelling, cropping, and missing layers; the working document and the uploaded file should match.
